Verizon Update 12/30/04

A.  Wireless Spreadsheet

Verizonpathetic is offering a free spreadsheet/worksheet download for Verizon Wireless customers, courtesy of a visitor to our site.

The spreadsheet is designed to help you locate billing errors by entering data into the entry boxes.  You can download the form here: www.verizonpathetic.com/cellular.xls.  If you have any questions about the form, there is an email address from the author located at the end of the directions.  He will be more than happy to assist you.

B.  ABC News 20/20 and New York Customers

ABC News 20/20 is doing a story on Verizon surcharges and fees.  They are looking for customers in the New York area who have had issues with their phone bills.  If you reside in the metropolitan area and would like to volunteer your information, please contact us and we will put you in touch.

C.  Solutions

The majority of vistors to our website are in search of help for a particular issue.  Whether it is how to recover excess billing charges, avoid early termination fees from a wireless contract or how to protect your credit, we receive a number of daily questions on these topics.

In response, we have created a new section that combines our FAQs with specific solutions to various, common problems.  Those answers can now be found here: http://verizonpathetic.com/alternatives.html

D.  Phone Bill Audit and Statistic

Verizonpathetic has maintained that somewhere around 50% of phone bills contain billing errors.  This information was recently corroborated by a news station in Pittsburgh: http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/money/3920162/detail.html.

The end of the article also illustrates how you can send in your own phone bill for a free audit.  We HIGHLY recommend sending in your phone bill since the auditors can help you recover monies from previous months.
